Ball Joint Separator Tool Description This heavy-duty tool set is perfect for removing and installing press-fit parts like ball joints, universal joints, and truck brake anchor pins.

Compatible Vehicles Installer and remover adapters are compatible with 1967 to current 1/2 and 3/4 ton 4WD vehicles with DANA 44 front axles found in vehicles from FORD, GM, DODGE, IHC, and JEEP.

Instructions: To Remove a Ball Joint - Assemble the Ball Joint Press over the vehicle's control arm. - Select the correct size Receiving Tube and position it under the ball joint. - Place the Removal Adapter between the Receiving Tube and Jackscrew. - Tighten the Jackscrew until the ball joint is removed.

To Install a Ball Joint - Clean the control arm and apply lubricant. - Insert the replacement ball joint. - Assemble the Ball Joint Press over the control arm. - Select the correct size Receiving Tube and position it over the control arm. - Tighten the Jackscrew until the ball joint is installed.

To Remove and Install Brake Anchor Pins - Remove lock ring retainers. - Position the Ball Joint Press over the brake spider. - Tighten the Jackscrew to remove the anchor pins.

To Disassemble / Assemble a U Joint - Remove lock rings. - Position the Ball Joint Press and tighten the jackscrew to remove bearings. - Clean yoke area and assemble replacement bearing. - Press bearings into yoke and reassemble lock rings.
