The Astro Pneumatic 7897 Ball Joint Service Tool and Master Adapter Set is a comprehensive kit that includes all the necessary receiver tubes and removing/installing adapters for working on press-fit upper and lower ball joints in most GM, Ford, and Dodge 2 and 4 wheel drive pickups, vans, and SUVs. This set comes in a blow-molded carrying case, ensuring that the tools are organized and easy to transport.

The new forged alloy C frame press in this set offers industry-leading strength and can be used on its own to remove and replace universal joints. Additionally, the set includes all the receiver tubes and removing/installing adapters required for press-fit upper and lower ball joints in most domestic 2 and 4 wheel drive vehicles, as well as many import and Euro applications through the 2020s. The manual provides guidance for over 1,200 applications.

Included in the set is the #2030-1 live center forcing screw plug. Astro's renowned forged alloy press measures 6" internally and 8.75" overall. For larger press needs and applications, the Astro Goliath Press (#78100) offers a 9.1" internal measurement and 11.9" overall size.
